What a Merciful Lord!

The Lord has truly been merciful to me in leading me to read the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. Although I am a mere twenty-two years old, I have already come to know and experience the Lord in such a deep and intimate way through the writing of these two Christian brothers. I solidly believe that their books are very deep and rich. Because of these brothers the Lord is now so real and intimate to me. I try to imagine what my life would be like had I never touched these books-to not know how to touch and exercise my spirit, to not know that God Himself has a desire, to not know God's purpose for my existence on earth: I would be living an empty and meaningless life if it weren't for these brothers.

I feel that I have such a treasure-trove of riches. I am constantly under such a fresh supply of life that is helping me to grow spiritually day by day. These brothers, standing on the shoulders of all those believers who have gone before, have led me to the Lord. What a freedom and mercy it is to know that I don't have to strive to be a “super Christian” in trying to do good out of my own efforts (Romans 7:16; Philippians 4:13)! The Lord just wants to live in and through me despite anything that goes on inside or outside of me. Despite my failures and even accomplishments throughout my time in school with friends, family, and strangers, I am learning to just rely on the Lord (Philippines 3:7). I praise and thank the Lord for the portions of these brothers and their consecration to Him in giving all of God's children the way to grow spiritually.
